AquaVision Massachusetts is an open-source website dedicated to raising awareness about overfishing in the state of Massachusetts. The mission is to educate the masses and promote sustainable practices to protect aquatic life in our lakes and water bodies.
With our interactive map utility, you can explore detailed information about various lakes, rivers, and other water bodies across Massachusetts. By clicking on specific locations, you'll gain access to valuable insights about the aquatic life, current fishing regulations, and conservation efforts in those areas. This tool is designed to empower users with knowledge, allowing them to make informed decisions and contribute to the preservation of our precious aquatic resources.
AquaVision Massachusetts was initially created as a school civics project, driven by my interest for marine biology. The hope is to evolve this into a team effort with a collabrative team working on it and community help as well. We believe that collective efforts can make a significant impact in making this a much better place. Do keep in mind that this website is very young and could have a lot of missing/wrong info and uncooperative elements
We are always seeking like-minded individuals to join our cause. Whether you're a student, an environmental enthusiast, or a concerned citizen of any age, region, race, etc. we welcome your involvement. There are various ways you can contribute, from sharing your knowledge and experiences to providing insights on specific water bodies or helping us enhance the website's functionality.
